Gerry Gebel to Speak at TechVision’s Chrysalis Conference
CHICAGO – October 29, 2019 – Axiomatics, the leader in externalized, fine-grained dynamic authorization, today announced that Gerry Gebel, vice president of business development, will speak at the inaugural TechVision Chrysalis Conference 2019, November 11-14 at the Manchester Grand Hyatt in San Diego.
The TechVision Chrysalis Conference 2019 was designed for candid and user-centric conversations surrounding the challenges that IT professionals face. The conference includes an attendee-driven agenda, high-profile expert speakers, in-depth content and an independent point of view. The four-day event features two days of comprehensive workshops and two days of lively, focused general sessions. Evenings include hospitality suites where attendees can network with other industry professionals and learn more about emerging technologies.
On Wednesday, November 13, Gebel will join Dan Beckett, principal consulting analyst at TechVision Research and managing partner at Security Architects Partners. Together, they will examine how businesses can use attributes, granular role-based data and information collected in real time to make informed, fine-grained, dynamic authorization decisions.
“Establishing fine-grained and dynamic access control is a growing requirement for digital enterprises that must enable access to sensitive and regulated digital assets,” said Gebel. “It is imperative for large organizations to leverage technologies like Attribute Based Access Control (ABAC) to ensure the right access to the right resources for the right users.”
Digital enterprises require the ability to make real-time access decisions. During the conference, attendees will learn about the technologies available that make real-time access control a reality.
“Organizations are challenged to find the right balance between security and convenience,” said Beckett. “Information barriers must remain intact, but if these controls are too sparse or unrestricted, employees can easily defeat these defenses and quickly gain access to valuable resources and critical assets. Conversely, if the controls are too restrictive, employees may have difficulty accessing the information required to fulfill their job responsibilities, which can result in employee frustration or attempts to circumvent the security parameters.”
Attendees of the TechVision Chrysalis Conference 2019 includes enterprise-focused industry, technology and business experts dedicated to improving the constantly evolving, enterprise security industry.
