AFCEA’s Federal Identity Forum & Exposition, formerly known as the Global Identity Summit, is the U.S. federal government’s primary outreach and collaboration-building event with the worldwide identity community. Attendees develop a comprehensive understanding of current capabilities, pending needs, market trends and future directions of both the federal government and the entire identity community. The annual event is held in conjunction with the AFCEA’s Homeland Security Conference from September 12 – 14 at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center, in Washington, D.C.

Gerry has more than 15 years of experience in Identity and Access Management (IAM) and Attribute Based Access Control (ABAC), and has worked extensively on its use in overcoming security challenges unique to the federal government. Gerry will join the panel, “A Survey of Identity Standards” Wednesday, September 13, at 3:15 – 4:15 p.m. EST, alongside David Kelts, director of product architecture at MorphoTrust; John Bradley, senior architect at Yubico; and Kelly Grizzle, software architect at SailPoint.

“The FedID event offers a great agenda comprised of speakers from the public and private sectors, as well as from industry.” said Gebel. “I look forward to a lively discussion about the changing landscape of identity management standards with my fellow panel participants.”

The goal of FedID is to initiate and advance public-private and cross-discipline collaboration, which is crucial for the continued advancement and appropriate application of identity and access management disciplines across all mission spaces. Attendees will have access to more than 100 sessions across the two events. More than 2,000 professionals from 30 countries and 100 government organizations attend FedID.
