Pre-Sales Engineer – USA

Location: Remote, USA (Central time zone preferred)

Are you a self-motivated person with solid technical credentials and a degree of business acumen? We are seeking someone of your background to fill the position as Pre-Sales Engineer within our Customer Relations team.

Your main focus is to support the US sales team by delivering technical demonstrations, presentations, leading PoC’s and contributing to RFP’s throughout the sales cycle. As needed you will also assist with technical support, professional services and training. Working in collaboration with executive leadership and technology peers, you will implement our dynamic authorization products into client environments. Together we solve some of their greatest authorization challenges by implementing ABAC.

Work description

As a Pre-Sales Engineer at Axiomatics, you will:

• Design, deploy, implement and integrate the Axiomatics platform with critical applications and infrastructure of our customers.
• Lead presentations and help prospects understand the value of our solutions.
• Work with prospects to understand their challenges and mentor them through POCs (Proof of Concept) and the implementation process.
• You will be required to travel to take part in customer meetings, deliver technical presentations and attend conferences. Currently these face-to-face travel opportunities occur less than once per month. Pre-Covid travel typically did not exceed 20%
• Use and demonstrate the Axiomatics platform (especially policy modelling and design)
• Troubleshoot client implementations of the Axiomatics platform to resolve technical issues through debugging, research, and investigation.
• Assist with service delivery, customer training and technical support

Qualifications and Experience:

• 3-6 years of industry experience in technical sales, design, development, customization, configuration, deployment of software solutions that integrate with customers core business applications.
• Prior experience with Identity and Access Management solutions with an emphasis on Authorization a plus
• Bachelor’s or equivalent degree in Engineering or Computer Science preferred
• Strong communication and writing (technical & non-technical)
• Ability to translate technology to business language
• Ability to translate business to technical requirements
• A self-starter that follows through on tasks

Technical skills:

• Experience with user identity stores (e.g. LDAP, EntraID, Active Directory)
• Experience interreacting with API’s using tools like Postman or Bruno
• Knowledge of secure API gateways (e.g. Apigee, Kong, Mulesoft)
• Solid command of virtualization technologies such as VMWare Workstation and VirtualBox technologies
• Good command of service containerization and orchestration technologies (e.g. Docker and Kubernetes)
• Experience with cloud computing platforms (e.g. AWS, Azure, GCP)
• Basic relational database (e.g. MS SQL, Postgres, MySQL) skills (e.g. connection strings and SELECT statements)
• Working knowledge of Java is a plus
• Prior development experience with any language is a plus
